Take FiveThe Dave Brubeck Quartet
Legacy Threads is a collection of women’s knitwear inspired by the timeless charm of 1950s Ivy League style. Rooted in vintage East Coast fashion, the collection explores classic collegiate style with a feminine perspective. The rich color-palettes, vintage-inspired patterns, and timeless silhouettes pay homage to this era of academic chic. The line challenges the elitism and gender norms often associated with the Ivy league aesthetic, offering a more accessible and inclusive approach to this look. Each piece reinterprets a classic garment, welcoming a wide audience into this nostalgic world of sophistication. Legacy Threads pays homage to the effortless elegance of the past while looking forward to the fashion of tomorrow.
For this project, I used my knitting machine to create six different pieces out of 100% wool. I designed the final process book, styled the pieces, and creative directed the campaign shoots. Legacy Threads allowed me to combine my many skills in knitwear, fashion, design, styling, curative direction, and more.
